Extreme Etiquette – a Cotillion Program
“Empowering Today’s Youth for Tomorrow’s Success”

1. Membership. Membership is by invitation and/or recommendation. Participants are considered members once The Extreme Etiquette program receives a completed membership form and membership fee of $195 (Middle School program). Checks are made payable to Extreme Etiquette, Inc.

2. Class Size. A minimum of 26 participants per class is requested (13 female/13 male). There is a maximum number of participants per class.

3. Visitors. All activities are for Extreme Etiquette program members only. Friends or dates not participating in the program cannot attend the Extreme Etiquette sessions or dances. We will be happy to contact your friends and invite them to join the program.

4. New Members. We encourage you to include your friends in the program. Parents and/or students may propose a friend for membership by putting their name and other information on a Registration Form or by contacting Extreme Etiquette at 850-244-6521. Girls and Boys from the sixth, seventh and eighth grades are welcome.

5. Behavior. Members are to behave in an appropriate manner during all Extreme Etiquette classes. If a student for some reason is disruptive, the parents will be notified.

6. Dress. Participants attending Extreme Etiquette classes expected to appropriately.

a. Shoes – Students are requested to wear hard sole shoes for class. Tennis shoes, Rainbows, or any other type of flip-flop shoes are not allowed. The young ladies are requested to not wear high-healed shoes (for safety reasons).

b. Clothing – Female students are to wear a nice skirt or dress for each class. Jean skirts, pants, shorts, or Capri’s are not acceptable. Dresses and tops are not to be halter style, spaghetti straps, or tube tops. Please do not wear skirts shorter than finger tip length. Female students will be turning and bending during the dance segments.

Male students are to wear long dark or khaki dress pants with a belt. Shirts are to have collars and tucked in the pants (button-down collars are preferred). Jeans or shorts are not acceptable.

c. All students must abide by the required dress code.

7. Dances - The Extreme Etiquette Dance is a semi-formal dance.

Male students - Male students are not permitted to wear a tuxedo. Acceptable semi-formal dance attire is a dark sport coat and tie with slacks or a suit. Long-sleeved collared dress shirts and to be worn and tucked in the pants. Hard-sole shoes and belts must be worn.

Female Students - Female students should wear a dress that is not considered “formal” and must be appropriate for their age group. Semi-formal dresses are knee length or tea length. Fully beaded or sequined dresses are not appropriate for a semi-formal dance. Dresses with low-cut necklines are not appropriate. Female students are to wear dress shoes with a moderate heel.

8. Gum. Students may not chew gum at any Extreme Etiquette session or dance.

9. Class Schedules. We request that students not switch class times without advanced approval. Naturally, should there be an unexpected conflict, please call us at 850-244-6521 to work out a solution.

10. Attendance. Attendance is very important. Participants are expected to arrive on time and attend all sessions.

a. Arrival. Participants are to be on time for each session. Classes will begin on time.
b. Departure. Participants are to be promptly picked up following the session.

11. Refunds. Refunds will not be provided after the second lesson/week. A prorated refund will be provided ONLY before the third week in an emergency situation only. It is important that the program remain constant with an even number of male and female students participating.

12. Waiting List. A slot in the Extreme Etiquette program is filled when the registration form and payment are received. The program goal is to have at least 25 female students and 25 male students participate in one class period.

13. Chaperones. Chaperones are essential. At least two chaperones are needed for each class. If a parent is unable to chaperone on the date requested/assigned, please attempt to locate a substitute or notify us one week in advance (850-244-6521) so another substitute may be acquired.

14. Enjoy the Experience. It is our desire that every participant enjoy their Extreme Etiquette experience. Through this program, participants will develop self confidence and skills that will empower them for a successful future.

High School Etiquette & Leadership Program

Policy Guide for Membership

The Middle and High School program policies are the same with the following exceptions:

1. Membership. Membership is by invitation and/or recommendation. Participants are considered members once the Extreme Etiquette program receives a completed membership form and membership fee of $235 (High school fee includes formal dinner). Checks are made payable to Extreme Etiquette, Inc.

2. Dances – Extreme Etiquette hosts two dances for the High School Etiquette & Leadership program: a semi-formal dance in the fall and a formal dinner/dance in the spring.

Semi-formal attire
Male Participants - Male students are not permitted to wear a tuxedo for the semi-formal dance. Acceptable semi-formal attire is a dark sport coat and tie with slacks or a suit with a collared, long sleeved dress shirt tucked in the pants. Hard-sole shoes and belts must be worn.

Female Participants - Female participants should wear a dress that is not considered “formal” to a semi-formal dance. The dress must be appropriate for their age group. Semi-formal dresses are knee length or tea length. Fully beaded or sequined dresses are not appropriate for a semi-formal dance. Dresses with low-cut necklines are not appropriate. Female students are to wear dress shoes with a moderate heel.

Formal attire
Male Participants - For the spring formal, male participants wear a black tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt, and black bow tie with cummerbund. Black dress shoes and black socks are required.

Female Participants – Female participants are to wear floor-length dresses. Short, evening-type dresses are not allowed for the formal. Dress must be appropriate for their age and should be modest in style. Beading and decorative stones are acceptable. Opera-length white gloves are required.

3. Dinner/Dance – Specific details regarding the Spring Formal will be provided in January.
